While attending PECAA’s annual meeting, being held May 18-20, 2017, you’ll want to make time to explore some of the highly acclaimed sights, sounds & tastes that make Nashville one of the most iconically historic cities in America.
There are so many treasures in this city…we encourage you to come early or stay late – but don’t miss some of these neighborhood ‘best-eats’ in Nashville (as ranked by Thrillist)!

Germantown:
Multiple chef-driven restaurants have opened in this neighborhood, taking advantage of the interesting architecture & residential complexes – making it one of the most concentrated area of ‘best-chef’ accolades to grace the city of Nashville.  Essential must-eats: City House, Rolf & Daughters, 5th & Taylor & Germantown Cafe.

The Gulch:
The Gulch neighborhood, with its interesting history of routing railroad traffic through downtown Nashville without interfering with automobile traffic, toutes one of the most vibrant residential & dining areas in the entire city.  Essential must-eats: Biscuit Love, The 404 Kitchen, Prima & Otaku Ramen.

12South:
This is the most walkable, 1 mile strip of culinary treats in Nashville.  Just park, and explore!   Essential must-eats: Epice, Josephine, Edley’s Bar-B-Que & Urban Grub.

SoBro:
Not to be missed, the SoBro neighborhood is home to delicious & soulful food.  Essential must-eats: Arnold’s Country Kitchen, Etch, The Farm House & Peg Leg Porker.

Midtown:
Primarily a commercial-use area, people come from far & wide to line up for a few local favorites.  Essential must-eats: The Catbird Seat, Le Sel, Midtown Cafe & Hattie B’s (Nashville hot chicken!).

East Nashville:
The dining scene is alive and well in this well-populated area of Nashville – home to these highly popular eateries. Essential must-eats: Margot Cafe, Marche Artisan Foods, The Treehouse & Lockeland Table.

Melrose:
The Melrose neighborhood has built a reputation as a fun & funky place to live, with notable eats.  Not a very walkable area, so you’ll want to zero in on 1 favorite when you visit!  Essential must-eats: Sinema, The Smiling Elephant, The Hook & M.L. Rose.

Inglewood:
Known as the ‘Wood Hood’ – this area is home to down-home, comfortable & family-friendly restaurants, loaded with old-school charm.  Essential must-eats: Rudie’s Seafood & Sausage, Mitchell Delicatessen, Pied Piper Eatery & Pepperfire Hot Chicken.

Edgehill:
Residential Edgehill boasts some local not-to-be-missed, favorite culinary stops. Essential must-eats: Thai Esane, Bella Napoli, Edgehill Cafe & Funk Seoul Brother.

Sylvan Park:
Known for it’s cozy neighborhood vibe with bars & restaurants galore – don’t expect to find a ton of parking in this area of Nashville,  but DO expect to find some culinary treasures!  Essential must-eats:  Caffe Nonna, Miel, Park Cafe & McCabe Pub.

Downtown:
Known primarily for it’s bars & nightlife – the downtown core of Nashville is also home to a few stand-out culinary gems.   Essential must-eats:  Merchants, Acme Feed & Seed, The Southern Steak & Oyster & Skull’s Rainbow Room.

The Nations:
The once ‘gritty’ Nations neighborhood is fast gaining a new ‘uppity’ status due to vast residential & retail development, but primarily because of restaurants like these!  Essential must-eats: Fifty-First Kitchen & Bar, House: A Social Eatery, Taqueria la Juquilita & Centennial Cafe.
