What is PECAA’s Growing Through Giving Program?
An initiative launched in 2017, PECAA’s Growing Through Giving program was designed to help give Members an easy way to support charitable projects within the optical community as well as promote good works within the practice.
In collaboration with Optometry Giving Sight, this program harnesses the charitable giving power of PECAA’s members while also providing a simple and effective method to grow practices through cause-related marketing and branding.
The goal of Growing Through Giving is to raise funds to support Optometry Giving Sight’s mission to end preventable blindness and vision impairment through the establishment of optometry-based, long-term solutions around the world.

(for the average PECAA member, this is roughly $800 for a year)
PECAA matches the first $20,000 in donations each year.

About Optometry Giving Sight
PECAA’s charity of choice, Optometry Giving Sight, is the only global fundraising initiative that specifically targets the problem of the nearly 1.2 billion individuals around the world who suffer from unnecessary blindness or vision impairment simply because they do not have access to eye exams and appropriate glasses. Optometry Giving Sight aims to permanently solve this problem by focusing on support for sustainable solutions in underserved communities.
