DESCRIPTION:Marketing & Customer Service\nDiscussion Outline:\nThere was a time\, not so long ago\, when marketing and customer service each operated in their own realms. Marketing included ads and flyers\, and customer service involved patient exams and fitting frames. \nToday\, customer service starts and ends in cyberspace. First\, prospective clients may cruise websites like Healthgrades or Yelp to check out customer rankings. Next\, when these prospects land on our own websites\, how well they serve our potential clients informs their first customer service impressions. If a practice’s website performs poorly\, can the practice itself be much better? Finally\, after new clients visit our practices\, what post-practice visit services can the client access through our websites? And will they post their own reviews? \nTogether we’ll be discussing: \n\nPractice Websites: What do prospective clients look for?\nReviews: How best to encourage good reviews and respond to bad ones (from those impossible-to-please patients).\nHow do we create a customer service experience that is consistent in and out of the office to create one positive impression?\n\nThis dinner is open to doctors and 1-2 staff members per practice location. \nWe hope to see you there! \nRSVP NOW

DESCRIPTION:Billing & Coding\nDiscussion Outline:\nBilling and Coding is a day in and day out function our practices must master. It’s critical to cash flow\, customer satisfaction\, and a practice’s bottom line. For our upcoming Peer to Peer dinner Teri Thurston\, PECAA’s Billing and Coding Advisor\, will join us as we explore strategies for managing this process. Together we may discuss: \n\nDo you bill in-house or outsource your billing?\nWhat courses have you taken to better educate yourself and your staff on billing & coding techniques?\nWhat approaches do you find successful in obtaining patient data prior to the appointment time?\nWhat resources have you found to be helpful when determining eligibility and insurance benefits?\nDoes staff determine both medical and vision eligibility and benefits for each visit? Even if the patient schedules for a vision exam?\nDo you code each visit and then submit to your biller\, or do you have someone else in the office do the coding for you?\nDo you have a process to check your coding and chart for errors on a regular basis in-house?\nand much more!\n\nThis dinner is open to both doctors and staff members.  \nWe hope to see you there! \nRSVP NOW

SUMMARY:Webinar: Team Problem Solving
DESCRIPTION:Team Problem Solving\nDate & Time: Tuesday\, August 7\, 2018  |  11:00am – 12:00pm Pacific \nPresented by: Sharon Jutila\, Human Resource Consultant\, AmeriBen \nCourse Description:\nGot a thorny problem? You might want to call in your problem-solving squad. A new study shows that complex problems are best solved by teams of three\, four\, or five people\, compared to people who tackle the same problems by themselves or with one other person. Just ask Patrick Laughlin\, PhD\, and colleagues from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. They published a study on the topic in the journal of Personality and Social Psychology. Teams of three\, four\, or five people were better at solving the problems than the individuals\, submitting fewer wrong answers before arriving at the solution. Even the top performing individuals didn’t match the teams of three\, four\, or five students. As a result\, team-building is essential to creative and strategic problem solving. \nREGISTER NOW
