Hotel Information – The host hotel is the Little Rock Marriott. $165/night Room Block available until April 5, 2023. Click here for reservation. Or call 877-759-6290. The Little Rock Marriott is the official host hotel for the Arkansas Optometric Association Spring Convention. A block of rooms has been reserved and the special room rate will be available until April 5, 2023, or until the block has sold out, whichever comes first. Please help to keep hotel rates reasonable for all ArOA attendees by staying in the convention hotel where ArOA has reserved room blocks at a discounted rate.
OD Schedule – A total of 20 hours of CE for ODs is offered at the 2023 Spring Convention. There will be 16 hours of live continuing education offered for doctors of optometry. All education will be approved by the State Board of Optometry and most all will be COPE approved. Four hours will be offered virtually. Two hours will be offered virtually on April 25 and two hours will be offered virtually on May 2, 2023. These hours count towards the Arkansas State Board of Optometry’s definition of “online education”. You will not have to take a test to received credit. Check the schedule to determine which classes are COPE approved. You must be registered for OD Education to receive credit for education hours. Guests or volunteers not registered for OD Education are not eligible to receive credit for education. If you have questions, please contact the ArOA office in advance.
Para Schedule – Nine hours of paraoptometric education will be available. Some classes are approved for ABO, Arkansas ABO, and CPC credit. Please check individual classes for credential credit. Opticians Jurisprudence will be available.
Doctor & Para Registration – Paras register on the same form as doctors. If you are adding paras at a later date, please contact the association office.
OD Registration Fee:
before 4/21/23: $525 AOA members (any affiliate) | non-members: $750
after 4/21/23: $575 AOA members (any affiliate) | $800 non-members
Para Registration Fee:
before 4/21/23: $130 works for ArOA member | $230 non-member
after 4/21/23 $155 works ArOA member | $255 non-member
Student Registration – students must register by March 28, 2023. Travel grants are available.
