Event Summary
PECAA is pleased to announce its next virtual education event: Co-Managing Ocular Surgeries: Blueprint For Success. Taking place on Sunday, August 13th, this event will provide six (6) hours of COPE-approved clinical continuing education to optometrists across the country and will be presented in a synchronous, virtual Zoom webinar format.
Each PECAA education event provides impactful instruction on a targeted area relevant to contemporary eye care practice. The August 13th event will highlight top tips for all ODs who co-manage ocular surgeries. These lectures will take a deep dive on pre- and post-operative patient care, and provide updated information on new technology being used in ocular surgeries today. This event will elaborate on various findings and how being prepared with this blueprint for success can elevate clinical decision making.
Co-Managing Ocular Surgeries: Blueprint For Success is open to all optometrists nationwide, including PECAA Max members, HEA Advantage members and non-members. We look forward to welcoming you to this event.

Description: Optical coherence tomography is arguably the biggest innovation in eye care in the last twenty-five years, and has revolutionized the management of patients with macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, retinal vein occlusion, vitreoretinal interface abnormalities, and a myriad of other conditions. The wealth of information provided, however, can be overwhelming. This presentation will review macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, and retinal vascular disorders, noting specific features in raster scans that will facilitate decision-making around diagnosis, management, and referral.
