Pay equity is one of the fastest growing areas of employment laws recently. Although 42 states have some kind of equal pay law on the books, there is more and more emphasis being put on this area for the purposes of recruiting and hiring. Furthermore, at a state level we have seen 6 states enhance the laws in this area and broaden the reach beyond just gender.
