AMD and AMD Masquerades
We are pleased to invite you to a CE Dinner around the Monterey Symposium in Monterey, CA on Saturday, November 16.
We hope you will join us from 6:30pm – 8:30pm for a discussion on AMD and AMD Masquerades (COPE ID: 63195-PS), presented by Mohammad Rafieetary, OD, FAAO.
A number of conditions can mimic age-related macular degeneration (AMD). These masquerading entities may lead to misdiagnosis and mismanagement of the patient. AMD is a specific disease entity that should be distinguished from other degenerative and non-degenerative macular disease. This presentation will first review the demographics as well as the clinical and diagnostic characteristics of AMD. Then, a number of masquerading cases and conditions will be presented with a review of typical findings of each condition and the contrasting differences of each conditions vs. AMD.
