2014 PECAA Annual Meeting: No Other Doctor Alliance Group in the Country Hosts a Meeting Like PECAA Does
I feel like I am just starting to catch my breath after attending our PECAA Annual Meeting in San Antonio. I would like to thank all of our Members who took time out of their busy schedules to attend our biggest and best meeting thus far. The feedback that we are receiving from our Member Doctors and Vendor Partners has been very gratifying. I’ve heard over and over again from the Vendors that no other group in the country hosts a meeting like PECAA does. Everything from the exceptional food, the destination resort, the business education, the breakout peer-to-peer groups, and of course the attention to detail from our amazing PECAA Staff.
Business Solutions & Strategies For A Changing Eye Care Industry
There were a number of reoccurring themes discussed at the Annual Meeting, each providing valuable business solutions and strategies for operating a successful practice in our ever-changing industry.
We learned more about the future of ACO organizations in optometry, how to prescribe for a digital-dominated world, ICD-10 training, effectively branding your practice, and the importance of tracking production by introducing the PECAA SuccessTRACK Production Tracking Software. We launched PECAA’s new Optical Merchandising Workshop, led by Doug Martin, our Director of Membership.
In addition to the education, attendees met one-on-one with our PECAA Vendor Partners in our massive Vendor Exhibit Hall.
But most importantly, everyone had a chance to share ideas and best practices with fellow PECAA colleagues.
PECAA was formed as a vehicle for Independent Eye Care Providers to take back control of our own destiny
If you are a PECAA Member and have not yet attended one of our Annual Meetings, I have to ask why not? I’ve heard over and over again from our Members that attending the meeting in San Antonio allowed them to gain a true appreciation for all of the services and exclusive benefits offered by PECAA and its Vendor Partners. For me, it all goes back to the very beginning of our organization. PECAA was formed as a vehicle for Independent Eye Care Providers to take back control of our own destiny. If we don’t act on our own behalf, who will?
Like it or not, we are going to see monumental changes in our sleepy little industry over the next few years. Are you ready for what the future of our industry holds?
